Elk Island Public Schools offers several options for students within the Autism Spectrum. The first option is an inclusive placement with the regular classroom setting in the neighborhood school. Individualized Program Plans, as well as other supports for the student, will be developed in conjunction with the family, school personnel and other service providers, depending upon the special education needs of the student. While Elk Island Public Schools has no specific sites for students with autism, other system special program placements are available, depending on student need and parent preference.
