Our Staff

Dr. Deborah Barrett originally became involved with ASEA as a way to learn more about how to influence social policy and create opportunities for her son, who has classical autism. She joined the board member and became editor of Autism Now in 2001, and was president of the board from 2005 to 2008. Deborah is now ASEA's Director of Community Awareness and Development.

Karen Renaud is responsible for keeping the ASEA office working properly, and making sure that its programs and services are running smoothly. She is on the front line for handling inquiries by phone, by e-mail and in person. Her many diverse job tasks, both big and small, allow the Society to function properly and allow other staff to do their jobs successfully.
