1. What’s your favourite holiday?
Every day is a special occasion. Every day should be celebrated.
2. Who’s in your village?
My family and friends are my support network. Some of them are here in Edmonton, while others are far away and live abroad. I’m lucky to have their support, and I hope that I help them as much as they do.
3. Why did you join Autism Edmonton?
If you were to tell me ten years ago, I would be living and working in Canada, I would have definitely not believed you. But moving to Edmonton turned out to be one of the most incredible things that happened to me, and joining the Autism Edmonton team was a big part of it. Back in 2017, a friend asked me to photograph Autism Edmonton’s fundraising event – Cycle for Autism, and that’s how I learnt about the agency and its work. As someone who is passionate about building healthier communities, I fell in love with the supportive, empathetic, and diverse environment of the organization and immediately felt like I belong. Shortly after that, I learnt they were hiring a marketing person and that’s how I got on the team. I feel lucky that my day-to-day job is full of new and exciting opportunities and that I get to help people find the resources they need to thrive.
