1. What is acceptance for you?
Acceptance to me is replacing fear with curiosity. For me, when I don’t understand someone and am fearful because of our differences, I put up a barrier to accepting them. If I turn my fear to curiosity, and seek to understand, I feel I move into acceptance.

2. What’s your favourite holiday?
It’s got to be Christmas. The lights, sounds, music and traditions always make me nostalgic and put a smile on my face.

3. Who’s in your village (you define village however you want it to be)?
I have been so fortunate throughout my life to have many individuals be a part of my Village. Some have joined and left, others have stayed for many years. All of them have touched my life in different ways and I am enriched because of them.

4. Why did you join Autism Edmonton?
Having worked in the not-for-profit sector for many years, I have always been drawn to smaller organizations. Why am I staying? Because of the amazing team we have here (staff, board and volunteers)!!!!

5. What is your favourite book, author or movie?
My favorite movie is Notting Hill. I am a big fan of Julia Roberts. Its one of those “comfort” movies for me.
